Please help!!! I'm Female and Computer Stuff is COMPLETELY BEYOND me!!!

My PC goes into Power Save Mode, before it's fully booted up... ?????

How do I bypass the Boot-up Procedure for Windows XP, to get to the BIOS...
and then what do I do from there to solve my problem????

It's not likely that XP is going in to power saver mode before the boot
process is finished. Tell us what IS happening during boot up, not what YOU
THINK is happening, and we'll go from there.
