Hello All,

My PC sudden cannot start up.

When I push the power button, the power button lights on, the light on
montherboard turns on and all the fans (CPU, power supply, etc) are
turned on, but seems that the system could not start. I found no signal
shown in the monitor, and, there is no power to floppy, cd-rom, etc.

I have tried to disconnect and connect again all the things, and, i
have tried to change the memory, but could not help.

Could anyone tell me what's happen and what could I do next?

Thx all.

How many BIOS beeps at the failed startup? What manufacturer of
motherboard?

Either some of the stages of your power supply unit , OR your motherboard
have apparently failed. The simplest test is to replace the PSU with a
known working one and see if that fixes it.

I have replace the power supply unit, but doesn't help.

There is no BIOS beeps at the failed startup. When push the "power on"
button, only found (1) motherboard lights on, (2) harddisk light on,
(3) all the fans on.

It is a HP i-media. The mothboard is Giga-byte GA-8I. Please help.

Unplug the mouse - try and boot.

Have you overclocked the machine at all - maybe the CPU has died?

Open up the case and unplu all non-essential peripherals, secondary HDs, CD
drives etc. and try and boot. Does that work?

Hello all,

Thank you so much for everybody's emails and responses here. Finally my
pc can startup now by replacing the button-battery in the motherboard.
All are very helpful. Thx.
