It's extremely difficult to uninstall ANY application "somehow" - you have
to deliberately do it. Are you not sure that all that is missing is the
Outlook icon?

Just FYI, the MS web based interface has been returning false errors when
people post, leading to the multiple posts. The people aren't doing it on
purpose.

I concur with F.H. Muffman; ever instance of muli posting I have seen has
been through that abominable "CDO for Windows" thingy, which is the web
interface to the newsgroups. Too many people, these days, the "Web" *IS* the
Internet; they don't know any better. And when the web thingy MS uses
chokes, they send their post again. And again.

Not quite true this time - there's currently a bug on the web interface
which returns a "failed post" message even when the message has actually
been posted...

In other words - since they (the people) do not see their own posts,
they will not see our replies, so there is no need at all to reply to
any of these multiple postings.

A != B

They may see their own posts, but, the web interface immediately presents
them with an error that says the post was not made. I don't know about you,
but, when I get an error saying that something was not done, I rarely check
to make sure it really wasn't done.
