My OUTLOOK has gone CRAZY!! HELP!!

Something has gone horribly wrong with my Outlook -- it keeps writing
gobbledy-gook. Every time I hit enter, to start a new paragraph, it makes
the symbol for paragraph (the backwards P). Every time I hit the space bar,
it makes a dot. It only recently began doing this, and I don't know why.
HELP!!

I'll be happy to send an email to anyone who can help, so you can see what's
happening........

I don't know what to do.....
