My Outlook 2007 is downloading messages multiple times.Help!

I have Outlook 2007 and it has downloaded (in 2 separate batches today) the
same email messages. I have elected to leave messages on the server for 10
days. I need to make it stop doing this!!!

Same happen when you disable e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program?
