My outlook 2007 has never indexed and i can not complete searches

Has anyone found that there outlook does not fully index? I have had the new
outlook for 3 weeks and rebuilt the indexing once already and it still has
not completed so i can not complete even the simplest search. Help!

I am using Vista and i have both an exchange server and and POP3 account. I
need to run the exchange server but could eliminatethe other account.

Are the mailboxes selected to be indexed in Tools-> Options-> Search
Options...?

What does the indexing status say in Tools-> Instant Search-> Indexing
Status...?

All the mailboxes are indexing and i had Lookout on my previous outlook so i
am quite familliar with it.

As for Indexing it just keeps giving me what seem like random changing
numbers. Sometimes it looks like it is completing and then it seems like it
has a long way to go.

Lookout used to index in 30 minutes or so. This has been going on a month.

I have rebuilt the index once as per instrucions on the help in out look.

Any thoughts?
