my new documents are defaulting as envelope layout ... Help

I downloaded envelope template earlier today from MS office. Now when I open
Word to create a new document, it automatically goes to an envelope layout,
not the 8-1/2 x 11. How can i fix this?

Create a new blank document. Go to File | Page Setup. Change the paper size
and orientation to US Letter and Portrait. Click Default... and answer Yes,
then OK.
