How do I turn off the deskltop display of the ticker?
I've tried what I know how to do.

Click the Esc (Escape) button should do it. But
Click to expand...
everytime you boot your PC it will start up again. Go to:
Start/Run/type MSCONFIG then click OK > StartUp tab > see
if the ticker is listed and uncheck/disable it. Click
Apply and OK. Reboot PC.
