I am having difficulty choosing a graphics card due to so much conflicting advice.

I am looking for an entry level graphics card for:
Asrock K7VM2 motherboard,
AGP x4 slot,
AMD Athlon XP 1900+
Socket A
Current speed 1600mhz
External clock 133 mhz
736MG RAM
Running Windows XP MCE.

I need to bump up the graphics in order to cope with one or two of the newer games like Ship Sim. Other than that , nothing too fancy.
Please would you be so kind as to point me in the right direction.
Best wishes

Thats an old Motherboard, You could get an AGP X8 card as it should be backwards compatible, I dont think you will find a X4 times card anywhere other than maybe Ebay....

I asume your living in the UK, If so have a look HERE

But if i am honest, i'm not sure its worth spending the money on it..... :)

if you really want to upgrade, it depends on your budget but for low end I would be looking at possibly a 6600/6800le. a good price/performance ratio going on there.

roughly £50

beware that not ALL agp 8x cards are compatable with agp 4x. I remember some issues with some 9800's a while back.

and i agree that it may not be worth spending to money on.
