My list is too long. Cannot be opened completely in xcl.

I have a text list of 1.3 million lines.
When opening themin excel , excel opens on part of the list.
Anybody ever overcome that?

Have you tried Access? What kind of cell manipulation are you trying to do.
If your desire is really just to do queries, sorts, and cuts of the list, you
might seriously consider using Access.
