I have a VGA Leadteck GeForce4 TI 4200 agp 2x/4x 128mb ddr video card.
Is this card suitable for Vista Home Premium aero, etc? Ultimate?

The card is not OLD you fool.....

it works with Linux great and has all the 3d enhanced desktop ..

its VISTA that is a SNOB on what it needs cards to have....

it has outrageous needs for effects that could be done with far lesser
cards...

Vistas demands on GPU power is like killing a fly with a nuclear warhead.

No, it's several generations too old.

You're an idiot. Try running DX10 games on linux. Won't happen. Can't
even run DX10 on Vista with that card. It's old technology.
You're nothing but a linx loser troll.
I hear trash dot calling you.

It was introduced five years ago and is a 2x/4x AGP card. Yes, that makes
it old by any reasonable standard, not just "Vista" standards.

And no, I am not a fool; I'm sorry that your opinion causes you to see that
in others as it will likely blind you to many people that you might
otherwise enjoy and benefit from associating with.

if you were around here more, you would understand that the card you have
is very powerful in comparison to what windows actually does with the
interface....

That card can draw complex 3d images.. vista only uses some simple commands
that could be done with that card easily..
and linux can use your card to do just that with an interface called beryl.

The reason for Microsoft wanting more powerful cards is different.....
and dark.....

You are entirely welcome. You'll need at least a 6xxx series card (yes, I
know that some of the 5xxx series cards are supported but not fully and not
well) in order to get the Aero and reasonable performance levels.
