Blueliner975,

I'm not sure I understand the question... Are you requesting FREE phone
support from the UNpaid volunteers that man this newsgroup? Ummm, sorry,
that is not how it works. Questions asked and answered in these newsgroup
are FREE. I don't know anyone who does one-on-one help free any place else.
If you have a specific question regarding your database then please ask it
here and we will answer accordingly.

If that is not an option for you I will suggest ou talk to your local
colleges and universities.

I was asking for free help from the people who have a passion to do this
kinda of thing. Sorry not all of us have the kind of money required to pay
someone to put together a database

Thanks

Why not explain what you have done and why you have difficulty with the next
step then maybe someone can offer a solution for that next step.
Don't expect someone to write the whole thing, if you dont understand it,
how will you maintain it?

Blueliner975,

Unfortunately, that is not the way it sounded... So let's start from the
beginning..

What is it you need help with? This...

"...I have ALOT of it done but i dont know what the next step is. I am
available on AIM/YAHOO/MSN and by phone..."

....doesn't tell us what you have done and where you are or what you are
trying to do.

There are lots of free "helpers" here but you need to ask specific questions,
preferrably one at a time.

You might want to google some questions first since your questions have
probably been asked and answered already.

This community is dedicated to free advisory assistance. We do not condone
those, like yourself, who's sole purpose is to advertise their services. You
have been admonished by many of us more times than I can count. Perhaps you
might do better on UseNET, but you will be challenged every time on the
Microsoft newsgroups.

Stevie is our own personal pet troll who is the only one who does not
understand the concept of FREE peer to peer support!

These newsgroups are provided by Microsoft for FREE peer to peer support.
There are many highly qualified individuals who gladly help for free. Stevie
is not one of them, but he is the only one who just does not get the idea of
"FREE" support. He offers questionable results at unreasonable prices. If he
was any good, the "thousands" of people he claims to have helped would be
flooding him with work, but there appears to be a continuous drought and he
needs to constantly grovel for work.

Please do not encourage the troll. He is the only one who ignores the rules
to pimp his services and considering that I have yet to see anyone giving a
positive endorsement, the quality of his work is very questionable.

Blueliner, I suggest you refrain in the future from posting your real e-mail
address in any public internet forum. Spammers harvest e-mail addresses
from these forums and use them as targets for their spam. I can only hope
that you won't be buried in spam now. It will probably die down after a
while, but keep your spam filters in good working order!

Well John, are you available for some of that free peer to peer support... it
is a big database and dont know where to begin with telling you about it. It
holds 320 personell and must monitor there certifications and make 30,60,90
notifications of what is coming up to be expired. It must also be able to
link to excel so that it may be sent in a specific spreadsheet format to a
3rd party.

There are many highly qualified people who will help for free, but first you
must outline what you are trying to do. Then break it down into more
detailed questions.

I've seen some pretty impressive "database" applications
implemented in Excel. Certainly Excel was not the best tool for
the task, but it did work in those cases. One guy put up a bond
trading system.

Didn't scale, eventually ran out of tabs, was a maintainence
nightmare, yada-dada-dada.... but it *did* get the job done.

Excel is an outstanding analysis tool, and as far as databases go, it is
good for simple lists. I never build an Access database for a simple list
when I can use Excel. That said, it is not a choice at all when relational
data is considered. Any effort saved in development will be quickly lost in
data entry, especially if 2 or more people need to use it. In the end, it
will cost many times as much, even over a short period, to use Excel for
most database requirements.
