Start>Run: type 'cmd' then in the DOS prompt type 'ipconfig' and press
enter.

Public Ip? Try something like http://www.whatismyip.com/ or
http://checkip.dyndns.org/ or one of the other thousands of sites that
provide your IP Address.

Private IP? Try start > run > cmd > ipconfig/all

I have a dial-up connection so this is all I know. If
you do as well this may help. Click on your connection
icon in the lower right of your screen. Click on the
Details tab of the window that opens up. There it will
show you the Server IP address of the server you are
connected to and it will show you your Client IP
address. I hope this helps.
