hey, I'm not typing from a school computer because I think I deleted
something in my registry window that has stopped my computer frmo
communicating with my modem. I was using spy sweeper to rid my computer of
spyware and viruses and for the first 5 or so sweeps my internet worked just
fine. All of a sudden one day I did a sweep and it just stopped working (the
internet). I think spyware may of attached itself to an internet file and
spysweeper deleted it but I dont know what it is. Is there anything I can do
to get my internet running again? Thanks for your help

The spyware may have affected the LSP TCP/IP protocol stack. You can
download and try "WinsockXPfix.exe" to return the IP protocol back to
original XP settings.

If you have XP SP2, Start>Run cmd [enter]
then type:

netsh winsock reset catalog [enter]

If you don't have SP2, get WinsockXPFix.exe:
