my INBOX says I have 25 emails/0 unread

This is driving me crazy here. I can't empty my INBOX
to other boxes. It says that I have emails that I cannot
SEE! Then the screen freezes up on me and I have to
restart the computer. Can you help?
 
How much RAM do you have in your PC? Does this freeze up
occur all the time or just reading mail. What else are
you running when reading mail. Did this just start
happening?
