My homepage pref in options isn't taking effect

Very odd. I've tried "Apply" before "OK," and even make
sure that I'm on the new home page in the browser, but
whether I close and reopen the IE 6 after rebooting, or
simply close and reopen, it continues to default to
msn.com, the initial setting...

Has anyone else seen this?

(I never had trouble setting the home page in other
versions of Windows.)

Try this fix:

Remove IE Restrictions
http://www.angelfire.com/dragon/sramesh2k/reg/IE_reset_restrictions.reg

The problem may be due to a spyware. Download Ad-Aware from
www.lavasoftusa.com, scan the system and eliminate the malware products.
Re-apply the above fix if necessary.

** Remember to update the pattern file using WebUpdate in Ad-Aware **

RJK,

Includes: Reset Home Page

Note: restoring the "Home Page" without scanning for spyware
will not remove the culprit that now exists on your system.
