Help the Kitty Escape or find a way to feed it, sounds unhappy

I read some comments on the Captive Kitty and GOD DAMN it does sound
like a kitty, what makes it make this sound, does not anoy me or
anything, quiet nice in fact, i just want to troke my hard drive that
all :0

its nothing to worry about right, i know thies a firmware upgrade, but
can't find that on a Hitachi website and an alittle scared to put
firmware thats not from hitachi on my drive its new, don't want to
**** it up.

Hi,

I just bought 2 160GB 7K250's (made: Aug 04) and they don't make that noise
(yet?). Either ignore it or use the firmware update. I believe all the
newer drives have this *updated* firmware anyway.

Why did you buy the Hitachi drives ??


I think mine are the new firmware as well, i saw 2004 on them
somewhere ?, month not sure.

Just looked on the bag my drive was in Says April 2004 , so mines
aittle older than your August oone, not much, but the firmware is
probably older than yours.

Anyway to see what firmware it has ?
