My History Entries are Missing

Hello - Ever since I installed Service Pack 1 Update, I
can no longer view my History - it is completely missing.
I use history a lot to help find pages I have visited in
the past.
Can anyone help me to figure out what may have gone wrong -
or how to fix it?

After searching for past problems similiar to my own, I
found a post which solved my problem. I simply turnded off
the Active X Controls Filter in my Virus Protection,
closed the browser, and re-opened. My History re-appeared -
just wonder what McAfee would say?

History problems can be caused by the ActiveX Control
filters in McAfee
AntiVirus. If you disable the "Active X Controls" filter
under the Internet
Filters in VirusScan the IE History should work properly.

Or... Your History folder may be damaged.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm
will delete the
History folder and a new one will be created when you
restart.

Or the History folder can be deleted manually:

This actually fixed it on my machine. McAffee does have something in their
knowledge base regarding it. Their solution is to disable the active x
scanner.
