I recently used a program (forget the name) to clear up potentiall malicious
background processes. I manually deleted several which were extremely risky.
Now my green volume bars for my lenove thinkpad laptop do not show up when I
press the volume button. The volume still works, but the green bars that
show what level of sound I am at do not show up at all. Is this a driver
related problem? Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!!!!

P.S. - I am only assuming that this started after I used the "malicious
process" deleter program....as I didnt notice it before!

some of the software for the sound card will have been removed,
reinstall the drivers from the manufacturers webpage.

This question sounds like someone who goes to the hospital emergency room
and tells them, "I took some pill that was supposed to make me better
(forget the name) but now I'm sicker. What should I do."

If you need help, you need to tell us what you did. *What* program did you
run? *What* did you delete that was supposedly "extremely risky"?
