My GATEWAY Freezes! What?

Gateway still driving me nuts.

Boot freezes at the MS flag. I can boot in safe mode, but have no idea
what to look for to fix the problem. Can anyone suggest anything that
I can do?

Start by booting into safe mode and use run>msconfig and disable all the
stuff in the startup section. If that does it start adding the stuff back in
little by little.

Another thing you can do with XP is instead of safe mode, go to last known
good registry config.
