my games don't recognize my display card!!

when I run games, they pop up something like "your desktop is set to 256
colors, please change to 16bit or higher", "the game requires a minimun of
32mb display card memory", etc.
my display card is Geforce FX5200 with 64mb memory, my desktop is set to
32bit colors. what's going on?
I have installed the latest offical driver and DirectX 9.0.
I have tried uninstall them and reinstall them, but doesn't solve the problem.
who can help me please? what's wrong?

Hey Zee, has this just started happening? Has it happened after SP2
update? .. Mine drivers got zapped after sp2 install, i had to reinstall
the NVid drivers.
If you have sp2 and dx9 installed, try reinstalling the Geforce drivers
last. Hope this helps.

What games? Are they older ones?
