My footnotes are numbering in greek

I reloaded windows Me sometime ago and ever since my footnoting in word has
been upset.

I want normal arabic numeral footnoting. I dont seem to be able to get my
computer to do it since it only numbers footnotes in greek.

Please help.
 
What do you mean by in Greek? What version of Word are you using?
