When I install new programs a folder is created in My Documents such My
Ebooks, My Scans, My Maps and so on and so forth. I do not wnat these folders
as I have my own file system. Is there any way I can stop windows creating
these folders.

Thanks

If you have already unregistered mydocs.dll via the run box...

regsvr32 /u mydocs.dll

And the system is not creating the XP intrinsic 'My Folders', it is the
applications creating their own. Acrobat adds 'My E-Books', for one. You
will have to look into the program options and see where it's default
location is for opening/saving stuff. After these settings have changed,
there should be no reason for the program to recreate it.

If this still doesn't help, go to those programs' publishers website and
look through their support pages and such.

My Maps, My Scans and My eBooks are created by third party programs.
