my first notebook

i will be getting my first note book in a week and i have cable and i
purchased a broadband wifi with a firewall in it just wandering what are all
the thing that are importand that i need to know with my notebook laptop or
what ever u call it everything i need to know such as where i should locate
my wifi router and anything else u can think of that i should know much
