My file has saved as an internet explorer file onto my flash drive and can no
longer be found. Is there any hope of recovery?
 
Hi

Copy the file to your hard drive. Then, at File > Open make sure the "Files
of type" box says "Word Documents".


In general, do not use Word to do File > Save or File > Open to open a file
from a flash drive. Instead, use Windows Explorer to copy the file to your
hard drive, and then open the file, work on it and save it. Then use Windows
Explorer to copy it back.
