my fan

Peter

is spinning almost all the time since I installed Vista and I really dont
know why. XP almost never used the fan but with Vista its like sitting next
to a heli.

My system is Fujitsu Siemens Amilo 1425M
1.7GHz Centrino
1GB RAM
128 Radeon 9600/9700

So - why o' why do Vista have to keep my fan busy all the time? - any
ideas? - I was wondering about missing device drivers and stuff but it all
seems to be installed very well. In last case - which seems very close, I
might remove Vista and install XP again - it is almost impossible to keep
concentrated for more than 5 minutes while trying to write repports (slave @
university) or anything while the fan is spinning at max all day long.

This is most likely either a flaw in the chipset drivers, or that the right
chipset drivers are not available for your motherboard/ACPI implementation.
It will likely clear up with updated drivers from your motherboard/system
manufacturer.

I thought so. So the only solution is to

1) try to find new Vista device drivers
or
2) wait for Microsoft to fix the flaw and wait for Windows Update

Microsoft won't fix it - if it's a driver problem (missing or defective
drivers) they'll come from your motherboard or system manufacturer.
Microsoft doesn't write drivers though they do pass along drivers from the
manufacturer if they submit them.
