I like Vista, I guess shortly everything will work well on it, wasn't it the
same with XP at the beginning? I remember my first "fast" computer - it was
an IBM with 33 MHz - LOL - and running Windows 3.1 after I used with an even
older brick DOS and Lotus 1-2-3.
But Daz said that there is a possibility to chose to run a program under XP
compatibility mode - where can I do that in Vista, maybe for my problems with
Skype it would help. I went into programs and features but cannot change
anything.
I have Windows Vista Home Premium.

Right click on the .exe file | Properties | Compatibility. For more info
click the Start Orb | Help and Support. Search on compatibility mode.

Well I finally bit the bullet and got rid of my motherboard that was based on
the SiS 661FX chipset and purchased a new one with an Intel chipset and lo
and behold Windows Vista runs flawlessly on my system now.. I have found it
to be quicker than a rather clean install of Windows XP SP2 on the same
system.
