My entire worksheet is behaving like a button

Hi

I have just been made aware of a little problem with one of m
worksheets by another user.

I have developed a workbook consisting of a number of different sheets
Navigation through the sheets is by way of a Main Menu with a numbe
of control buttons. On each of the sheets linked to the main menu ar
a number of other buttons that clear input only cells, return to th
main menu and access a userform that produces a list box. The workboo
is protected.

I have given a copy of this workbook to another user and they hav
highlighted a rather annoying problem. When one of the sheets off o
the main menu is activated, all the buttons on that worksheet bring u
the userform with the listbox rather than doing what they should.
Furthermore, clicking anywhere on the worksheet does exactly the sam
thing. It appears the worksheet is under the impression it is one bi
button.

I do not have the same problem when I open the workbook on my machine.
I am using Excel 2003. The user who reported the problem is usin
Excel 2000.

I have done a little searching and am aware that Excel doe
occasionally throw up this problem but I can't see how it could hav
happened in this case or why it works on my machine and not someon
elses. Could this be a compatibility problem? I suspect that th
worksheet protection has something to do with it. When the protectio
is removed on the Excel 2000 machine everything works fine.

Is there any way around this problem without removing all th
protection on the workbook?

Thanks,
Mar
