My email is slow

I use Outlook 2000 and whenever I try to open a new email or when I hit
reply, it takes a long time for the message to open. This happens with or
without an attachment. I am on a DSL line as well. My deleted items folder
is empty and this just started to happen and I can't figure out why. Any
help is appreciated.
