my email carrier is down and I have to add my username and password every time

Because my domain provider is having troubles with it's email servers, every
time I TRY to access my email, it fails.

That I can understand.
but
each time a window comes up asking me to include my server username and
password.

I can't copy and paste it from a .txt file or other source.
It will only allow me to type it in.

And I've had to dozens of times and I'm tired of it.

Even though it has 'save credentials' enabled.

Can't I just tell it to leave it as is.

annoying to act as if I don't have this info correctly entered into
'Accounts'

anybody have a suggestion other than get a different domain provider.
(actually they only have been down twice in recent memory, but this is the
longest failure by far)

If the server does not accept the offered credentials, then
Windows Mail (like OE) discards those credentials, because
it assumes they are incorrect.

The security login window does not allow pasting in.
The only place you can paste the credentials is under Tools,
Accounts, select the account, Properties, Servers.

If WinMail can't connect it assumes it has the wrong name and password and
erases them until you put in a name and password that work.

It 'assumes' wrong. LOL
Guess there will be no way to 'correct' it's 'incorrect' assumption.

royal PITA...

thanks for confirming what I was afraid would be the case.
