MY E-MAIL HANGS WHEN SENDING FROM A E-MAIL SEND BUTTON IN ACCESS

I have created an Access Database. When I press a button, created in the
database, it hangs and just sits there. If I press the x in the upper right
hand corner of the e-mail message, outlook asks if I want to save the
message. I press yes and it closes. I can then go to me e-mail folder and
it is a saved item in the inbox. If I click on it and then press send, while
in outlook, it will send properly.

Not sure I understand what you are saying. You mention creating an access
datase, but then you talk about email for six sentences, Is this email
being sent from Access or Outlook? What does the Access database have to do
with it? I think you have left out several important details. You say,
"When I press a button created in the database it just hangs", what does the
button do? what is the code behind it?

What I am saying is that I have created a button in Access that sends e-mail
from Access. It is one of the canned function buttons that Access can
create. When I press that Button on my Access spreadsheet, it hangs. It
will open the Outlook window and format the e-mail and make it ready to send,
but when I press the send button in Outlook, nothing happens. When I close
the window, by pressing the "x" in the upper right hand corner of the window,
Outlook asks me if I want to save the e-mail, I say yes. I then leave Access
and go to Outlook, and the mesdsage is unsent in my inbox. I can click on it
and press send from Outlook and it goes on it's merry way. That is the
problem I have encountered.
