My Downloads folder

When I download an update, the original .exe download goes to "My Downloads"
folder.
After the installation, the istall or open zip goes to anohter folder, such
as "Program Files".
However, the original .exe file stays in the "My Downloads" folder. Are
these supposed to remain there after the install? What will happens if I
delete these from My Downloads folder?
Thanks in advance.
 
Hi,

No, you can safely delete the setup files. You may want to consider copying
them off to CD or something for later reinstallation.
