"My documents" shortcut disappeared

Hi,

I run W2000 Pro, and suddenly the "My documents" shortcut on my desktop
disappeared. "My documents" directory is still available in the "Documents
and Settings". I tried some tools which handle registry features, but none
of them seems to correct this behaviour.
It seems it happens with XP, but did not find any tips about W2000

Control Panel|Folder Options|View, then check the box for "Show My Documents
on the Desktop"
