Recently and without me setting this up when I boot up instead of the
computer going directly to the desktop the computer will automaticaly open
two windows of my documents. What happened and how do I stop this from
occuring? I just want the computer to boot straite into the desktop so I can
then go to the program that I need. This is weared it's like this computer
has a mind of it's own. Hunted I guess

Thanks

Dan..

I tried # 255 and it still opens two "My Document" windows after XP
boots up.
Here is information about when the System 32 folder opens:

This can be caused by a blank entry, such as can be left behind by an
incomplete program removal, in the:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and/or
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys.

It might be applicable to you. If not, use the System Configuration
Utility to see what is starting with Windows because you've got
something starting causing this.

Start>Run>msconfig [enter]

This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup tab
and find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply
and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next time
you do you'll get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just tick
the box that says in effect, "don't bother me about this again".
