My desktop icons or shortcuts don't respond to the mouse clicks

Hi, my desktop icons and shortcuts don't rspond to the
mouse clicks .... only the right-click displays the
desktop menu even if i point to the My Compute icon !!!
looks like the icons have blended into the wallpaper!

However, i have normal access to same programs via START
button... strange!!

Are you the only one that uses that computer? Try this:
right click on the desktop, then go to ARRANGE ICONS BY,
choose hide if SHOW DESKTOP ICON has a check on it then
that means you really have the icons on the desktop.
Click it (uncheck) and see if your icons will disappear/
