I need a little more help.
My gefrag tool is not working.
I get a "Snap-in failed to initialize" error screen.
I came here a couple weeks a go and got 2 post that tried
to help.
1) I downloaded a file called defrag.exe.
In the properties of the file it is called a Disk Defrag
Module and about 69kbs big.
I extracted it and when I click on it I get a really
quick dos type sceen that diappears so quick I dont know
what to do with it.
Am I using the file wrong?
2) The second post had me go DLLCACHE folder and copy the
file FRAMEDYN.DLL to the WBEM folder and make sure a line
is in the %System root% are.
Anyway the second didnt work and I dont know how to use
the first.
Any ideas.
My wifes XP defrag works fine.
This is really frustrating.
Thanks Brad

The first file you mention is the command line version of defrag. Open a
Command Prompt window and enter

DEFRAG /?

That will give you the list of command line options.
