My decimals have been replaced by spaces?

Try Start / Control Panel / regional and language options / Regional options tab
/ make sure decimal separator is not a space and is actually a period .
 
Thanks for the suggestion, but I tried that and it is set as a period (.)
I am stumped!
 
Maybe its a formatting thing. A custom format allows you to replace .with a
space

test this by selecting the default number format, and seeing if the .
reappears.
