My date in PC is different from email server, how do i sync both?

my date in the PC was different (Say Nov 1, 2006) and the date in the email
server is current date. I forgot to change the dates and now in my MS Outlook
local folder shows the mail was sent on Nov 1, 2006. So when i forward the
mail, it shows as if i have sent the mail on Nov 1, 2006. I want to
synchronise the dates in email server and my local folder, how do i do that?

How about deleting the OST file, or slightly more drastic, running delprof on
the machine to delete the profile of this particular user, setting the time
on the PC to the correct one and then set up the mailbox again.

This would only work if the server is either exchange or IMAP tho, just a
thought

By the level of detail in the OP; we'll never know what the OP was doing.
Note that for Exchange the OP is most likely in a domain and the time/date
would have been set correctly to begin with. Which let me to believe the OP
is in a classis home environment with POP3.

Yes that would be a likely scenario but arent there siituations where even
if the machine is in a domain the time difference between the machine and the
controller/time server are so far out that the client isnt updated?

I believe by default it will deny logon to the domain and displays a
specific error when attempting to logon.
