"My Current Home Page" missing from display properties web tab

Got some kind of virus the other day and am slowly recovering but still can't
get the backgrounds to scroll on desktop tab and also have just a blank box
under the web tab. Originally was missing desktop, appearance and themes
tabs, but got those back. Just can't do much with them. I'm guessing I
might have to re-adjust settings in registry, just not sure which.

Hi,

Run the edit on line 285 (right hand side):
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

If that doesn't help, your system isn't clean yet or the cleaner you used
when trying to remove the Security issue via Web, (which disables the
desktop and more) went a bit too far. In the meantime, run this combo:

Run Ad-Aware SE, Spybot, CWShredder and HijackThis:

Note: Update the first two programs, once installed, before running.
