My CPP Beta 2 Key isn't working???

Hi. I joined the Customer Preview Programme and got the mail with my Vista
Product Key but when I try to activate Vista it tells me it's already being
used on another machine. This is the first time I've used the product key? Is
it a case that Microsoft sent out duplicate keys to people and now some of us
are left with unusable installations of Vista? Is there any way to get a
valid key from MS? Thanks!

Check, double check and triple check that you are inputting the product key
correctly.
Each product key can be installed on up to 10 different machines.

Tried again, same issue. Did it a 3rd time and it worked :) Very impressed
with Vista so far!

The CPP Program is Closed, Just FYI, Sign up for either MSDN or Microsoft
Tech Net Plus, Also Just FYI.

Why do you want the OP to pay?
The OP already has a valid CD and key for the free CPP.

Hi,

I have the same problem as the OP. Actually, my key was accepted upon my
first installation and I could also activate my Vista. When I realized Vista
was stable I decided to move it to a bigger harddrive so I removed it and
installed it again on the new harddisk (same computer).
The key was accepted during installation but then refused when I tried to
activate - "Product Key in Use". I tried re-typing it without success.
Actually, I also copied and pasted it from the email I got from Microsoft and
this also failed.

Any idea what I can do now? My Vista is going to expire soon.

Best regards
Carsten
