I had problems with Hibernation and installed KB909095 to resolve.
But now Xpro/SP2 refuses to identify hardware in My Computer and win.ini in
MSConfig is empty.

Further, as XP had identified major hardware changes (none were actually
made) I had to re-activate.

I have tried pretty well everything including sfc /scannow. And I cannot
find a way of removing KB909095

Help!

Did you try a system restore to before that update was applied?
