My Computer

Using XP Home. All of sudden I can't open "my computer".
It searchs"(flashlight")but will not open. I shutdown and
some times it will work for a while.

When you click Start and then click My Computer, or when you double-click My Computer on your Windows desktop, Windows may search (a flashlight may appear) for a long time (for example, 5 minutes) before files appear.

Disable the Windows Image Acquisition service. More Information:

If this does not help, uninstall 821557 hotfix
