After installing SP2 on my computer, my computer will not booot up when it
gets to the windows loading page it just resets back to the begining. the
only way to get around this is to open the computer in safe mode. any ideas
on how to start my computer properly would be great.

Sounds like a possible drive issue. In safe mode - use system restore to
return to pre-sp2 and/or go into Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs to
remove the service pack and boot into normal mde...

Did you clean up the system first?
- Backup important stuff (Emails, Contacts, Documents, Spreadsheets,
pictures, installation media, product installation keys, etc.)?
- Run several different antispyware applications (SuperAntiSpyware,
Lavasoft Ad-Aware, Spybot Search and Destroy, etc.)?
- Run a full CHKDSK?
- Uninstall unused applications?
- Update applications you planned to continue using?
- Update hardware drivers from the manufacturer's web site(s)?
- Defragment the hard disk drive(s)?

THEN install SP2.

1. Uninstall SP2 via Add/Remove Programs and reboot.

2. Run a thorough check for hijackware, including posting your HijackThis
log to an appropriate forum.

Check for Hijackware

When all else fails, HijackThis (http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe)
is the preferred tool to use. It will help you to both identify and remove
any hijackware/spyware.

**Post your HijackThis log to http://forums.spywareinfo.com/,
http://castlecops.com/forum67.html, http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30 or
other appropriate forum for expert analysis, not here.**

3. Do not install SP2 until an expert gives your HijackThis log a clean bill
of health.
