My Computer - just get search light

When clicking on "My Computer" all that appears for a
considerable time is a tourch symbol arcing back and
forth. Any suggestions

Time to check for trojans, spyware and adware. Also, it could be a
invalid disk in the CD or Dvd.

Thanks ran Ad-aware and it appears to have solved the
problem. Found some 8 cookies.
