Hi,
I cleaned my keys and since that time I cannot get into my computer which is
password protected. Which key may be causing a problem? I already tried
restarting, ctrl alt del and nothing works, Help!

Also, my screen blinks all the time while using, what may be the cause. I
have a laptop, Compaq Armada 1580dmt.

Thanks
Cat

I suggest you borrow another keyboard to get into your computer. If
that works OK, just buy a new keyboard. They are cheap. If you like keep
the old one, it may start working again in a few weeks.

No idea Cat, try getting an external keyboard and try using that to log into
your computer. If that works, you may want to open up a WordPad document and
type your alphabet -- that way you can see what keys are doing what. You'll
probably need to call Compaq and get the keyboard portion of your laptop
replaced. Hope this helps. Happy New Year!!!

Sorry, I did not notice it was a laptop. James has a good idea.

Thanks for the information. I read through Microsoft and it mentioned after
6 times you cannot try anymore. So I shut off and waited a few hours and
tried the password again and it worked! I suppose it reset itself.

About my blinking screen, do you have any suggestions?

Thanks
Cat

Thanks for your feedback. I got into the computer. As per Microsoft
instructions, I did not try again after 6 times, I shut off and waited and it
reset itself. Thanks for your help.

Any ideas on the blinking screen?
Take care and Happy New Year to you too!

My suggestion is to try a more appropriate newsgroup: one that's related to
whatever operating system you're using, or else check with the manufacturer
of your laptop (which would be HP now)

This one's for questions about Access, the database product that's part of
Office Professional.
