The icon in My Computer which selects C drive has been replaced by the
default windows icon. How can i get the icon of a disc drive back again.

Delete Autorun.inf, that is in the root of C: now (you can see it as a
simple Autorun -- depending on the Folders Settings).

Most likely you (or someone else) copied a CDROM here instead of
installing this CDROM -- then the other unnecessary files and folders
may be here as well.
