my computer gets restarted continously

i am using win xp professional 2002 with sp2 , asus mother board , amd
semprone 2400 processor. the problem is that while any work computer
gets restarted automatically without any warning.can you pls tell me
reason and solution

Right click on "My Computer" and select Properties. Oon the Advanced tab,
click on the Settings button under Startup and Recovery, and uncheck the
"Automatically restart" Option. That will prevent critical system errors
from automatically restarting windows.

However, that will not solve the cause of the restarts, which can be from
any number of issues, including bad hardware and OS/application problems.
I'd suggest that you first boot into safe mode and run antivirus and
anti-spyware sweep.
