I just upgraded from WindowsME to WindowsXP Home Edition.
It was necessary to reformat my disk and do fresh install
of XP.
With my original WindowsME system, I had ArcSoft image
software. After I loaded WindowsXP, I found an entry in
the Programs menu for "My Computer Center." The entry
points to Program Files\ArcSoft, which contains a number
of folders and files, but no apparent software. When I
select "My Computer Center," a process starts that
appears to be unzipping files - a window appears that
says "Preparing your system." This runs for a long time
without any noticable progress.
Can someone tell me if the ArcSoft software is part of
the WindowsXP load? If so, what do I do to make it
install properly?
Thanks for the help.
