My calandar always opens up in appointment view vs calandar??

Each time I start Outlook, and open my calandar, it defaults to appointment
view versus calandar view. To correct it, I have to open up someone elses
calandar and then open mine, and then close theirs. This happens each time I
open the calandar. I would like to fix this because it is annoying and time
consuming.
