My background and some applications

hello i recently had a computer virus that got into my computer. When i
deleted it i found that my ability to change my desktop background was gone.
Whenever i right clicked a picture and went to 'set as desktop background' or
tried to change the screen color (although one type of blue worked), the
screen would remain white. also i found that on some of my applications
(yahoo browser, yahoo messenger were the only ones affected by this) i could
not open the icons at the top like file and tools and help. Can you help me?

I don't know whats going on they insisted I needed 2 drivers for my printer
because I was sharing,ya they gave me a drivr and put it in as the printer
program andI cannnnnnn't moveit so now II have no printer.Of course I can't
install the original it won't install. Now going crazy
